The Scheme has, today, been extended until the end of October 2020.

Until that end date, workers will continue to receive 80% of their current salary, up to £2,500/mth.


The Scheme will continue in its current form until the end of July 2020.

From the beginning of August, there will be changes to allow for more "flexibility":

New flexibility will be introduced from August to get employees back to work and boost economy.

More specific information will be available towards the end of this month.

The government will explore ways through which furloughed workers who wish to do additional training or learn new skills are supported during this period.
